A New Family: God Living in His People

“For God so loved the WORLD.”

God is now forming ONE family, oikeioi tou Theou. He came as “the Second Adam” to invite the entire “First Adam” world-family to Eternity Life.

One Family, no longer limited by mammal DNA trying to “hold it together” based on a theme or doctrine or cultural ritual! But now Second-Born of the Second Adam, Jesus, into His Life and Love. No longer only mammal DNA.

“The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.”

“You are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, family, related by Blood.”

“For you are all offspring of God through faith (full reliance, trust, and direction as Abraham’s) in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor non-Jew, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you ARE Abraham’s seed, tribe, semen, divine life-giving future, and heirs according to the promise, the allotted inheritance by divine pledge.”

“Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Then, pointing to his disciples: “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

Anyone who leaves natural family and possessions for Jesus and the good news receives “a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields…”

Those led by the Spirit are “children of God”; they receive “the Spirit of adoption,” cry “Abba, Father,” become heirs together, and Jesus is described as “the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.” Remarkable! One Father, Jesus the firstborn, many brothers and sisters.

“You have one Teacher, and you are all brothers… you have one Father, and he is in heaven.” Jesus deliberately strips away religious status, forbids titles and hierarchy, and replaces it with one Father and a family of brothers and sisters.

God is “bringing many sons and daughters to glory,” and Jesus “is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.”

We are given the right “to become children of God”—“born of God.” The new family is created by a new birth, not human ancestry, or peer pressure, or logic.

“That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.” “That they may be brought to complete oneness.” Not organizational unity; Jesus grounds their oneness in the shared life of the Father and Son.

The many Spirit-Life Twice-Born individuals are made “one body” because “we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body.”

“There is one body and one Spirit… one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all.”

He came to bring the solution to fallen-man, once-born mammal life. To Hindu, Islam, Baptist, Charismatic, Orthodox, Atheist, Catholic, Buddhist, Taoist, Bahá’í, and ALL the rest. He receives with forgiveness and mercy and love all who yield into the same type of “faith” Abraham exhibited. These who talk to and pledge forever trust and loyalty to Jesus Christ—the One who had and has authority to command nature, forgive sins, reveal Himself as He decides, and raise the dead—these will be granted His gift of Heaven-DNA, the Life of Jesus within.

Not a belief system or culture, but a DNA change within. Read on. With “ever-increasing glory,” not instant perfection by any stretch. But “Christ IN you (plural), the hope of glory!”

He came to make us a true living daily Family!
