Here is the Kicker! Jesus Didn’t Come to Start a New “World Religion”

Does this really sound like He ever intended to start an alternative world religion? I’d say He is highly over-qualified for that!

Did you notice He didn’t say, “If I be lifted up I will draw all men to my religion”?

Because that was not His plan.

He Lived and Lives WAY beyond all of that religious stuff. Humans do that stuff. He didn’t.

Do you think He came and suffered in order to start another religion with a different set of doctrines and rituals so that we could all: go to homes or cathedrals or other religious buildings, attend meetings on Sundays or Fridays or Saturdays, or Wednesday nights, to sing songs, watch a pre-choreographed multimedia show, and listen to practiced or AI-generated speeches while we give our scheduled, solicited money to the human with the title and authority structure that Jesus Himself forbids? (And His chosen apprentices also refused to do that, by the way.)

Jesus most certainly did not come for that purpose. And He said He didn’t.

Jesus, Yesu, came to Change the world. He came to Deliver the world.

The whole world. Not some part of the world that “knows more” or is “luckier” than some other part.

“For God so LOVED THE WORLD, that He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have Eternity Life.” He came to set all of the world, every ethnicity and culture, tribe and language FREE—“Free indeed” with “Life to the full.”

“Very truly I tell you,” Jesus said, “before Abraham was, I am!”

“You will see greater things than these, Nathaniel.” And, He said to him, “Most assuredly I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”

Does that really sound like a guy who would or wanted to start a competitive new world religion? I don’t think so. Again, He is “highly over-qualified” for that!

But that is what humans generally want to do with Truth. Package it, control it, market it, profit from it, and franchise it. Do religious humans usually desire to submit to the rightful and living King, Jesus? Not usually, not so much. At least not those who desire to value the vanity and goods and reputation on a decaying earth.
